INCIDENT UPDATE, 18 August 2017, Las Ramblas, Barcelona

On Thursday 17th August 2017 at about 16:50 local time a vehicle collided with a significant number of people, whilst traveling at speed, on Las Ramblas, Barcelona, Spain. At this time reports indicate that 13 people were killed and at least 100 people injured during the incident. Reports indicate that the driver of the vehicle made off from the scene and is still unaccounted for. The incident in Las Ramblas is being treated as terrorist related by Spanish authorities.
There are also reports that following the attack that a number of arrests have been made by police. At this time UK police have not been able to verify these incidents, or that other events in Barcelona being reported in the media are connected at this time.
