From London Protect

At about 08:20 on Friday, 15 September 2017 an explosion occurred on a London bound District Line train.

London Protect requests the following from businesses:

  • Enhanced Security presence around crowded places, iconic sites, events and transport hubs, focussing on Underground exits.
  • 100% searching at vehicle entry points, focussing on profile vehicles, delivery vehicles, hire cars and vans.
  • Thorough search regime for people entering events and attractions.
  •  Consider ‘no bag’ advice for people entering events and attractions.
  • Consider typical signs of a person who may have handled homemade explosives such as: wearing gloves, hand injuries, suspicious smells, size and weight of items being carried.
  • Plain clothes security staff to wear uniform in order to increase visibility
