The National Co-ordinator Protect and Prepare (NCPP) reported an incident that took place in Liege, Belgium that occurred at about 10.30 am local time on Tuesday 29th May 2018.
Reports indicate that a male attacked two police officers with a knife, then took one of their firearms before shooting both officers.
A third person who was in a motor vehicle nearby was also shot during the incident. The attacker apparently took a person hostage in a nearby school before being shot by police.
At the time, whilst there were indications that this could be terrorist related, the motive behind the incident has not been confirmed by authorities.
