The Partnership is committed to supporting a number of special local charitable and community organisations.
2015 saw the return of The Bloomsbury Festival, with The Partnership supporting ‘Light up Store Street’, the Festivals launch event held on Friday 23 November. The street was closed to traffic and fire-lit sculptures where displayed along the length of Store Street and within South Crescent. Local artists preformed within the street’s businesses, alongside live music, street food and drinks. The Partnership was able to sponsor several of the artists and provide the festival with in-kind support.
23,000 children and young people are seen in the paediatric and adolescent outpatient department of UCLH each year. The department runs speciality clinics such as Diabetes, urgent referrals, Eye clinic, pre-assessment for paediatric surgery, and child protection/safeguarding
Through our Feast@Fitzrovia events The Partnership has raised funding towards a new sensory unit for the ward. The aim of the space is to provide children and adolescents with a safe and relaxing environment where play specialists can work with them utilizing equipment such as light therapy, music, comfortable seating and a variety of interactive sensory toys.
Each year at Christmas we support the Hospital’s ‘Donate and extra Gift’ campaign. All gifts collected through our members are distributed to the children & families spending Christmas in hospital.
Windmill Street in Fitzrovia, located between Tottenham Court Road and Charlotte Street is home to an interesting and eclectic group of small independent businesses including galleries, retailers, restaurants and hairdressers. Once a year, the businesses come together is host The Windmill Street Festival, with the objective of raising the profile of the street.
For the past two years The Fitzrovia Partnership have proudly supported the event by sponsoring the production of flyers and helping to promote the one day event via social media, our websites and newsletters.
