Emergency First Aid at Work (One Day)

Who is it for?

This accredited qualification is ideal for those wishing to become an Emergency First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982.

 

Course Content

The course duration is one day and topics covered include:

  • The roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider
  • Assessing an incident
  • Recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness
  • Assisting a casualty who is suffering from injury and illness

 

Qualification Gained

The qualification is assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration.

All successful candidates will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification. These qualifications are valid for a period of three years, at which point learners will need to re-sit the course. However, the recommendation is that learners refresh their knowledge annually.
