The Close the Door campaign works to stop shops wasting energy by keeping their doors open when using heating or air-conditioning. It is a business-friendly, non-profit organisation who’s admin staff and campaigners work on a voluntary basis. The campaign is active in cities around the country and works nationally with head offices of the chains.
The festive period may now be a distant memory, but our Christmas @Fitzrovia promotion will certainly carry a long legacy.
The well received Christmas @Fitzrovia newspaper was packed full of fantastic gifts, offers and festive ideas available across the area, including Tottenham Court Road, such as at the street’s flagship store Heal’s and Paperchase. In our Eat @Fitzrovia section, BID Members such as Pied a Terre and Pescatori showcased some of the more unusual Christmas dinners that were on offer at the world renowned Charlotte Street. Our 30,000 copies were snapped up before the end of the campaign, with a record number finding their way into local offices, homes and eager visitors.
The Fitzrovia Partnership has an innovative and FREE Recycling service for our Members.
Together with our partners Paper Round, and as part of our commitment to an ethical collection service, we will come and collect your used Christmas tree – whether from your office, retail unit, or restaurant – free of charge in January(terms and conditions apply*).
Following on from the successful Christmas lights switch-on for Fitzrovia, The Fitzrovia Partnership Business Improvement District and University College London Hospital (UCLH) are today launching a gift appeal and calling on local businesses and the community to make a difference this Christmas by spreading some festive cheer, raising a smile and ensuring that the many children who are receiving treatment at the UCLH over the festive period, don’t miss out.
On Thursday 21 November, local traders and residents welcomed the BID’s first ever set of Christmas lights and decorations to our vibrant streets thanks to The Fitzrovia Partnership and you, our Members.
