Counter Terrorism Awareness for your Business

In response to Member demand, Fitzrovia Partnership is working to deliver further Counter Terrorism Awareness courses for 2015.

The Partnership will be offering Members the following courses:

Project Griffin Update

Who is it for?

This workshop is aimed at all management levels inclusive of business owners.

Course content.

Project Griffin is a Police initiative to protect our cities and communities from the threat of terrorism. It brings together and coordinates the resources of the Police, emergency services, local authorities, businesses and the private sector.

Its remit was to advise and familiarise managers, security officers and employees of large public and private sector organisations across the capital on security, counter-terrorism and crime prevention issues.

Qualification gained.

This is a certified course that is nationally recognised

 

Operation Trammel –  Fraudulent Document Awareness Training

Who is it for?

This workshop is aimed at HR Management and recruitment services.

Course content.

The aim is to increase knowledge of identity documents and the potential for their abuse.

The workshop includes an opportunity to examine counterfeit and genuine identity documents to gain a better understanding of security features and how to spot a fake.

These workshops include a presentation by specially trained officers from the Met Police counter terrorism desk.

Qualification gained.

This is not a certified course but Operation Trammel is a nationally recognised briefing.

 

Project Argus – Contingency Planning

Who is it for?

Project Argus is an initiative developed by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and delivered by Counter Terrorism Security Advisers (CTSAs).

It is primarily aimed at senior managers and decision makers within your business.

Course content.

This three hour multimedia simulation poses questions and dilemmas for participants working in small groups of like-minded individuals, and aims to raise awareness of the threat from terrorism, providing practical advice on preventing, handling and recovering from an attack.

Qualification gained.

This is not a certified course but is nationally recognised.

 

We are also looking at courses on mail handling, counterfeit notes/goods and cyber-crime with dates and venues to be confirmed.
