The Fitzrovia Partnership held another successful FitzCycle event in Whitfield Gardens on 18th June. The FitzCycle events are aimed at improving cycle safety and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
During the 5 hour event, 32 bicycles received security identification marking which registers the bike on a national police database, 37 bikes receive a safety check from a qualified mechanic and 29 people undertook a Fitness First body health check. The health checks were to highlight strengths and weaknesses within each person’s overall health by way of a 5 point check-up, with immediate results and directives given for their potential improvements.
In addition to the above, The Fitzrovia Partnership also laid on a smoothie bike for guests to blend their own fruit smoothie on a pedal powered blender.
The next event will be on Cycle to Work day on 3rd September 2015 to again be held in Whitfield Gardens. Times are yet to be confirmed. To be the first to find out more about the event, register your interest here.
