@Fitzrovia Festivities Deliver!

The Christmas Newspaper is currently being delivered to all businesses and residents in the W1T area. This Edition features 26 Fitzrovia businesses, over 36 pages packed with Christmas gift ideas, shopping, eating and drinking suggestions along with an up to date directory of retailers, restaurants and bars. Copies are available at businesses in the area and can be delivered straight to you for staff members and guests. The Christmas lights were switched on in partnership with the children’s ward of UCLH on Thursday 13 November at 5pm.  The lighting scheme includes Charlotte Street, Goodge Street, Maple Street and Tottenham Court Road, together with two Christmas trees in Whitfield Gardens and outside UCLH.

@Fitzrovia Festive Pop-Up On Thursday 27 November the BID held a @Fitzrovia Festive Pop-up businesses, with local businesses taking part in the market that took place on South Crescent, Store Street.  The market enjoyed approximately 1000 visitors and helped to promote the wide variety of great food, drink and craft available in Fitzrovia to those that live and work in the area through the BID’s flyer.

The event supported UCLH Children’s Ward who also had a stall and benefited through the tombola and photo booth taxi.

UCLH Children’s Ward are asking for ongoing support of their ‘donate a gift’ campaign, collecting gifts for the children and their visiting families. Unwrapped gifts can be donated at our 13 Fitzroy Street office until 18 December 2014. The Partnership will also receive and distribute any unwanted gifts after the holiday .

In addition to the @Festive Pop-up businesses opened late offering in-store discounts, entertainment, food and drink to help draw in shoppers and increase sales in the run up to Christmas, whilst giving local residents and employees an extended chance to cross items off their Christmas lists!

The Partnership promoted both the market and late night shopping in the Christmas newspaper, via social media and in 5,000 flyers that were handed out the day before as well as on the day of the events.  In addition to this promotion for the festive pop-up was featured in The Evening StandardTimeOutStreetlifeList.co.uklovecamden and Store Street Bloomsbury
