This year sees Tottenham Court Road take centre stage in Fitzrovia’s Programme of Seasonal Festivities.
Join us for the Christmas Lights switch on, Thursday 13 November.
As in 2013, the lighting will be a simple, traditional and elegant approach, undertaken in a white hue.
This year’s additions to the scheme will comprise of 4 “Spirit of Fitzrovia” figures as the gateway for the south end of Tottenham Court Road, and a further 4 figures for the North end (near UCLH and Warren Street Tube Station) – see below.
Further lighting will be positioned in the trees and lamp posts along Tottenham Court Road, Percy Street, Charlotte Street, and several adjoining thoroughfares – see below.
We are looking for local retailers to get involved and promote their own activities and offers for 27 November, with mince pies and entertainment on the evening – and we will highlight them to the office community and visitors.
The market will be promoted by the BID as an opportunity for local retailers and restaurants to take their Christmas promotions directly to the audience. Running for one day, this will be THE opportunity to grab last minute presents or to sample some of the flavours of Fitzrovia before the big day arrives.
The BID is keen to support local charities in raising money for local good causes. There will be charity carol singers performing in Whitfield Gardens each Thursday between 5pm – 6pm from 20th November.
To take part in the BID’s programme of activities please contact our Marketing Team by 31 October.
