Business Rates Revaluation
The next business rates revaluation period is due to begin on 01 April 2017. The draft figures for this new rating list were published on 30 September 2016 and businesses and ratepayers are now able to view their new 2017 rateable values for the first time. Whilst the figures are in draft form, there is a window of opportunity to make representations to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) to influence these figures before they become live on 01 April 2017.
The Fitzrovia Partnership is working with BNP Paribas Real Estate to offer members a FREE consultation to review the opportunity for mitigating some of the proposed increase in rates payable. The appeal process under the 2017 rating revaluation period will be significantly different from the existing system and will require more detailed information about the actual property in question at the outset.
