The Sun Shines on Feast@Fitzrovia 2015

Aimed at boosting trade and showcasing the vibrant mix of food and drink on offer in area, Feast@Fitzrovia that took place between 29 June – 5 July.

A great year as the number of local businesses participating grew from 17 in 2013 to 31 this summer, and with something to discover and be entertained with each day, this years campaign was better than ever!

Pre-promotion was boosted with the addition of branded Feast@Fitzrovia lamp column banners on Tottenham Court Road, 10,000 event programmes distributed through the Summer@Fitzrovia newspaper and even TV coverage on London Live.

The week long celebration of the food and drink offer in Fitzrovia included lots of venue based events such as Bobo Socials, Experimental Burger evening, The Gaucho Film Club and foodie workshops and tastings at Coffee, Cake & Kisses. Whilst ‘Restaurant Week’, offered special offers at a variety of restaurants and pubs giving people the chance to eat out and enjoy more of what Fitzrovia has to offer.

Last year’s 3 Chef’s Dinner at The Elysee grew to the 4 Chef’s Dinner!  Chef’s from Pied a Terre, Salt Yard, The Elysee and Elenas L’Etoile put their creative skills together, resulting in a unique, delicious menu all paired with matching wines and spirits rom Soho Wine Supply.

The Building Centre was the scene for our Make Your Case, wine tasting event.  Wine experts, from Charlotte Street Hotel, Cote, Gaucho, Salt Yard, Soho Wine Supply and Vagabond  pitched their favourite wines to the discerning, voting audience.  A truly enjoyable evening that saw Gaucho and Vagabond just tip the others to the post.

Part of Charlotte Street, took on the look of a village fayre with artificial grass, bunting, chairs and even a fake cow to set the scene for the Charlotte Street Summer Food Fayre on Friday 3 July . Descending workers and residents indulged in the variety of mouth-watering dishes being offered by the 16 local businesses.  The live food kitchen entertained the crowds as local chefs whipped up delicious dishes while the brave took part in Extreme Food Challenge.

The campaigns chosen charity was UCLH Childrens ward, who are fundraising to build a multi-sensory room in their Euston Road premises. To find out more and contribute visit their site.

We are pleased to announce that over the course of the week £1595 was raised.
