What we do

Protect, deter, help, clean, report, share

Managing this area cannot be done piecemeal. It requires a co-ordinated approach and this is what The Fitzrovia Partnership does so effectively.

Safer

Our team works with local businesses and partner agencies to help reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. We have a number of initiatives that help meet these objectives:

Street Warden Services from My Local Bobby

Value to Fitzrovia:

• a uniformed presence and a deterrent
• safeguard visitor and business well-being
• multi-agency work between businesses, the Metropolitan Police, Local Authority and agencies
• part of targeted and co-ordinated operations to reduce ASB
• a point of contact for visitors and rapid response for local businesses
• helping the homeless and displaced individuals and working with the Local Authority to identify long-term, sustainable solutions
• Working with My Local Bobby provides the opportunity to bring private prosecution cases saving members £6,250 each time.

My Local Bobby

Our street warden team is provided by My Local Bobby who are experts in creating a safe and secure neighbourhood, free from crime and anti-social behaviour.

Whilst our street wardens have no arresting powers, they are instrumental in aiding arrests, working closely with the police and the local authority.

Working with TMI, the sister company of My Local Bobby, member businesses have access to a free private prosecution service should they wish to prosecute an offender. This is a saving of between £5,000 to £10,000 per case to a member business.

Business Continuity and Contingency

Working with the Metropolitan Police, The Fitzrovia Partnership shares best practice and advice from the Government and authorities to enable businesses to put together their business continuity and business plans

This includes fast time intelligence and briefings during and following a major incident.

Safer Business Network

Safer WestEnd is a not-for-profit award- winning organisation which coordinates and administers several business crime reduction partnerships (BCRPs) across some of London’s most challenging boroughs.

As members, we benefit from the shared efforts of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), local councils and other interested stakeholders, to help reduce anti-social behaviour and negative impacts on the profitability of businesses in Fitzrovia.

Local Agencies

We keep member businesses informed with the latest updates from local agencies, such as the Metropolitan Police, MI5, Transport for London (TfL), Camden Council, Cross-sector Safety & Security Communications (CSSC), London Protect, Gov.uk and the National Counter-Terrorism, Security Office.

How to report a crime

It is imperative that any crime is reported so the police have a true figure of crimes in the area. This helps them prioritise additional resources to ‘hot spots’.  Contact Us
