Wind your way through Fitzrovia’s watering holes to learn where Dylan Thomas met his wife Caitlin, visit the home of young Dickens and the workhouse that inspired Oliver twist, see the house which Virginia Woolf and George Bernard Shaw shared (at differing times), follow in the footsteps of Jerome K Jerome and hear where literary giants, such as TS Eliot and George Orwell met, drank, argued and wrote.
The walks start with a quick literary pub quiz in the Fitzroy Tavern, then visit the Duke of York, Newman Arms (now closed), and Marquis of Granby before ending at the Wheatsheaf. There are also stops at The Grafton Arms and The King & Queen where Bob Dylan gave his first public performance outside of the USA.
