Is your business compliant?
Since March 2025, businesses with ten or more employees, must separate:
- mixed recycling
- food waste
- general waste
From 31 March 2027, these requirements will apply to all businesses, regardless of size. First Mile can help you become compliant quickly and easily, while often reducing your waste costs at the same time.
Food waste is one of the heaviest materials found in general waste. By recycling it separately, many businesses can improve recycling rates, reduce contamination, and increase operational efficiency. Many member businesses save hundreds or even thousands of pounds each year through this partnership.

First Mile provides detailed reporting, including:

- carbon savings
- waste volumes by material stream
- collection and diversion data
- energy generated from non-recyclable waste
- trees saved through paper recycling
