In partnership with London Festival of Architecture
Taking place every June across London, London Festival of Architecture's mission is to encourage discussion around architecture, test new ideas, uncover and promote new talent.
Run by the NLA, the festival unites industry professionals, students, and Londoners, to collaborate, engage, and create positive change across our unique neighbourhoods.
LFA 2026: Find Fitzrovia
In 2026, we unveiled a new pedestrian wayfinding scheme, 'Find Fitzrovia'. Designed by Italian visual artist Adalberto Lonardi, who was announced as the winner of our open call earlier in the year.
Find Fitzrovia comprised of three wayfinding totems, installed in Whitfield Gardens, Warren Street, and Great Titchfield Street. Drawing on Fitzrovia's diverse architectural heritage - from Georgian elegance of Fitzroy Square to the Art Deco grandeur of Heal's furniture store, and the brutalist landmark of the BT Tower - the vibrant totems feature floral and geometric motifs and encourage exploration around the neighbourhood.
Designed to reflect the festival's theme of 'belonging', the totems offer a welcome landmark, inviting people to explore/
LFA 2025: Fitz&Sits
In 2025, the LFA theme was 'Voices', and given the shortage of seating across the neighbourhood, the installations provided a trail of seats, to encourage places to meet and have conversations.
Nine seats were unveiled across Fitzrovia, and activations also encouraged connection - from making tiles to donating fabrics. The Fitzrovia Food and Drink Trail took place across two days in June as part of the wider activation programme.
LFA 2024: Rabbit Warren Street
In 2024 we became an LFA Destination for the first time, embracing the month-long celebration with more than 24 events. We also held a public realm competition and street activation which saw Warren Street 'Reimagined'.
'Rabbit Warren Street', designed by Able Partners and Elliot Wood, showcased how a difficult area could be transformed. Launched with a two-day street activation, Warren Street was transformed into a pedestrian-friendly 'meadow' and local businesses took the opportunity to showcase their offerings, with food, drink, and retail offers, and live music on opening day.
