At this introduction to First Aid, you'll learn how to deal with life-threatening emergency situations competently.

The full day course is a great introduction. Our instructors are from the Emergency Services who have first-hand experience. 

What you'll learn:

• the role of a first aider
• the priorities of first aid
• managing an incident
• causes and care of an unconscious casualty
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• bleeding and shock
• chocking
• burns and scalds
• anaphylaxis
• how to manage the transportation of a casualty
• record keeping and accident reporting
• Practical demonstration and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

This is an accredited course delivered by professional firefighters. Attendees will receive advice and training which covers the full roles and responsibilities of a designated fire marshal. They will learn basic fire safety procedures in the workplace, covering:

• fire prevention and containment
• dire detection and awareness
• escape, drills and evacuation policy
• the importance of an assembly point and roll call
• fire marshal responsibilities and legal duties
• record keeping
• fire risk assessment and significant findings
• understanding fire extinguishers and how to use them

From 30 October 2026, the law on sexual harassment will be strengthened to place a duty on UK employers to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. This short in-person course will help workplaces to:

• understand what sexual harassment is and how it manifests
• understand the impacts of sexual harassment
• feel confident understanding the duties of employers
• understand how to safely speak up
