Delivered by business sustainability specialists WSP, this programme provides access to expert sustainability consultancy support at no cost to your business, helping you identify practical opportunities to save money, improve operational performance and build long-term resilience. Whatever stage you're at, the support will be tailored to your needs and priorities, ensuring the process is straightforward, flexible and focused on delivering tangible results.
The programme builds on the success of the Business Climate Challenge, which supported 39 SMEs in Fitzrovia. Through tailored advice and practical action planning, participating businesses achieved measurable improvements, including one organisation that reduced its energy consumption by 31%.

FAQs
The programme is open to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (up to 250 employees) or Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises who are members of The Fitzrovia Partnership. We are also encouraging applications from micro businesses. Larger organisations are welcome to apply and may also be considered. If you are unsure whether you meet the eligibility criteria, please contact info@fitzroviapartnership.com to discuss. We want our programme to be as inclusive as possible.
No. The Sustainability Health Check is fully funded for participating businesses.
Participating businesses will need to nominate a key contact, share some basic business information (such as your energy bills or energy data, operating hours, key on-site equipment and any sustainability activity already under way) and join a one-to-one online meeting with WSP. This information will help WSP understand your current position and identify tailored opportunities for improvement. Businesses will be asked to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to confirm their participation and shared commitment to engaging with the support provided.
The programme has been designed to be straightforward and minimise disruption to your business. Participating businesses will need to provide the basic business information, attend a one-to-one online meeting with WSP (up to 1 hour), and take part in two 1-hour workshops. The workshop content will be tailored to the results of the Sustainability Health Checks across the participant cohort, exploring action planning, what measures look like in practice, typical barriers and realistic implementation.
The programme is designed to minimise disruption. Data gathering and one-to-one
discussions will be completed remotely and sessions will be arranged around business operations. Workshop arrangements will be confirmed with participants.
Participants will receive a Sustainability Health Check Snapshot, including a summary of current operational profile and energy consumption, RAG performance assessment across key categories and priority areas for improvement. You will get workshop materials for each workshop session and a Business Action Plan template. Participants will receive one-to-one support from sustainability specialists including guidance on quick wins, next steps and funding opportunities.

Yes. Many businesses are experiencing increasing sustainability expectations from
customers, supply chains, investors and employees. The Sustainability Health Check can help identify actions that support future compliance and reporting requirements.
Participating businesses will receive recognition through programme communications, case studies, events or certificates celebrating participation.
The programme will run from September to December 2026, with data gathering taking place in September and October followed by workshops in November and December. Following registration, participating businesses will be contacted to agree a delivery schedule that suits them. The programme has been designed to minimise disruption and can be delivered flexibly around business operations
