PROJECT EXECUTIVE 

Job Title: Project Executive 

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Department: Policy and Place

Directly Responsible for: N/A 

Line Manager: Head of Placemaking 

Date: January 2026

Location: Onsite at the Company office in Fitzrovia (currently 175/176 Tottenham Court Road) and surrounding local area as required to carry out the duties of the company.

Hours: 37.5 hour working week, core hours 9:30 to 5:00 Monday to Friday. To include some evening and weekend hours as required with one day working from home.

Job Purpose

The Fitzrovia Partnership is seeking a Project Executive to support on the the delivery of high-quality projects that improve streets, public spaces and the wider experience of Fitzrovia. 

This is a new role within the organisation. It will support the Head of Place Shaping and the Head of Place Management to develop and deliver a programme of public realm projects, activations and improvements aligned with The Fitzrovia Partnership’s wider missions of Economic Growth, Sustainability and Place Shaping, including the priorities set out in the Area Strategy. The postholder will coordinate smaller projects independently and provide delivery support on larger or more complex projects. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Project Delivery 

  • Support the delivery of place-based projects that improve the public realm and foster cultural, social, environmental value while maintaining a clean and safe district.
  • Support the Head of Place Shaping and Head of Place Management on interventions such as lighting, signage, street accessibility, greening, and street furniture improvements.
  • Support the Head of Place Shaping and Head of Place Management on design and delivery of flagship schemes, pilots, and activation programmes.  

 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Collaborate with partners including Camden Council, Westminster City Council, GLA, TfL, landowners, and key local stakeholders. 
  • Build positive relationships with local businesses, residents, and other key stakeholders. 
  • Support on consultation and engagement processes, including preparing materials, recording feedback and helping to translate feedback into project development. 

 

Programme & Financial Management 

  • Track budgets, working with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and good financial control 
  • Provide regular written and verbal updates to the Head of Place Shaping and Head of Place Management.  
  • Maintain project plans, risk registers, action trackers and delivery timelines across a range of live projects. 

 

Monitoring & Evaluation 

  • Contribute to evaluation frameworks led by the Head of Place Shaping and Head of Place Management 
  • Report outcomes using data, user feedback, and visual documentation.  
  • Assist in building business cases and funding bids with impact evidence.  
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and share learning. 
  • Support the preparation of business cases, board papers, funding bids and other supporting documents using clear evidence and project information. 

Person Specification

Essential

  • Confident use of IT systems and digital tools to support operational management, reporting, and productivity, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems. 
  • Demonstrable project management skills, with experience delivering multiple workstreams to fixed timelines and budgets. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and briefing senior stakeholders. 
  • Strong understanding of urban centre challenges including changing travel behaviours, sustainability, and public safety. 
  • Creative and solution-oriented with a passion for place activation. 

 

Desirable 

  • Understanding of the role of Business Improvement Districts or similar partnership based organisations. 
  • Knowledge of public realm or place management services, such as cleaning, maintenance, safety, or environmental operations. 
  • A qualification in a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. 
  • Awareness of sustainability principles and how they can be applied in projects and operations. 

 

Knowledge and Understanding 

  • Understand the role of Business Improvement Districts or similar partnership organisations. 
  • Knowledge of public realm services including cleaning, safety, maintenance, and environmental operations.  
  • A formal qualification in a related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Awareness of sustainability principles and their application to operational services.
