A guide to Frieze Week 2026 in Fitzrovia
It's that time of the year again... Frieze Week has arrived in Fitzrovia. With a fantastic programme of art exhibitions, performances, events and more, we've curated a round-up of what to see in Fitzrovia during Frieze Week 2026.
1. Minor Attractions at The Newman
Minor Attractions opens at The Newman hotel during Frieze Week. Designed as a space where art and nightlife meet, the independent art fair showcases the latest in contemporary art, from moving image to daring performances.
An exciting daily programme taking place across the hotel showcases performance art that moves through hallways and bedrooms, intimate conversations, film screenings, listening spaces, readings and more.
Minor Attractions runs from 13 — 17 October at The Newman, 50 Newman Street, W1T 3EB
2. Joseph Jeantet at LIMA
The week of Frieze, LIMA becomes a meeting point for food, art, and the people who make London’s cultural scene what it is.
See the restaurant transform into an exhibition space featuring work by Joseph Jeantet, a French painter based in London pursuing the Surrealist approach through an exploration of painting as a fragile, material and temporal process.
Throughout the exhibition, from 12 to 24 October, book a table any day that week and quote "FRIEZE" to enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles & Carlingford oyster.
Joseph Jeantet runs from 12 — 24 October at LIMA, 31 Rathbone Place, W1T 1JH
Joseph Jeantet, Vernissage 8/06
3. Frieze Week at The Mandrake
Surrender yourself to performance, seduction and indulgence during Frieze Week at The Mandrake.
From a new cocktail selection that features over a dozen original serves, to a series of guided cultural travel, cabaret performances and DJ sets, the programme is set to inspire.
The Frieze Week programme runs from 14 — 18 October at The Mandrake, 20-21 Newman Street, W1T 1PG
4. TRIEZE at Gallery Different
TRIEZE is an artist-led group bringing street-art practice into the heart of Fitzrovia during Frieze week, creating a direct meeting point between artists, public, collectors, and contemporary culture.
Now in its third edition, this year's exhibition presents new studio works alongside selected archive pieces. The programme includes a special screening, artist table talk and more.
Trieze runs from 13 — 18 October at Gallery Different, 14 Percy St, W1T 1DR
5. Middlesex Hospital Blues at the Fitzrovia Chapel
Curators in residence Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard present the third in a trio of immersive exhibitions responding to the layered history of the Fitzrovia Chapel and surrounding Middlesex Hospital site.
Middlesex Hospital Blues centres around Blue, the final film by Derek Jarman, released just four months before his death from AIDs-related complications. However, rather than install Jarman’s film, the curators translate its singular gesture into a collective act of remembrance and resistance. The setting is deliberate and poignant:, as the Fitzrovia Chapel was once part of Middlesex Hospital, home to the country’s first dedicated HIV/AIDS wards.
Including a newly commissioned ambisonic work by composer, Simon Fisher Turner created with Tilda Swinton, a sculptural installation by Jenkin Van Zyl, a lighting design by Arup and an original oil on canvas by Jarman himself, the exhibition becomes an act of bearing witness – to the lost, to the care given, and to what was once deemed unseeable, unspeakable and untouchable.

Middlesex Hospital Blues runs from 16 October — 18 November at the Fitzrovia Chapel, 2 Pearson Square, W1T 3BF
6. Fitzrovia Quarter presents: What Holds Us Together
This October, Fitzrovia Quarter invites you to explore What Holds Us Together, a new group exhibition celebrating an all-female cohort of six emerging artists who have spent the past several months creating, experimenting, and exchanging ideas in the heart of the neighbourhood.
Artists Esmeralda Conde Ruiz, Jingshan Ding, Purdey Fitzherbert, Holly Keogh, Monya Riachi, and Tabitha Wilson each bring a unique artistic vision to the exhibition. The artists were given creative freedom to take the neighbourhood as a starting point — drawing inspiration from Fitzrovia's historic built fabric, local fabric shop textures, collected sounds, and everyday encounters.
Spanning painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, writing, sound, and performance, the resulting works explore evocative themes of memory, movement, material change, vulnerability, and coexistence.

What Holds Us Together runs from 19 — 25 October at Radiant House, 36 – 38 Mortimer Street, W1W 7RG

Frieze Sculpture returns to The Regent’s Park this autumn. Curated for a fourth year by Fatoş Üstek, Frieze Sculpture’s 14th edition includes 11 leading international artists whose work is sited throughout the park’s historic English Gardens.
The free public art exhibition extends the reach of the fairs into the public realm, bringing contemporary art to audiences throughout the autumn season and transforming the park into a site of discovery.
