Investigation launched into national emergency alert failings

The Government will investigate why many people did not receive its emergency alert during a national test on Sunday afternoon. Many people on the Three mobile network said their mobile phones did not get the alert as promised by the Government at 3pm yesterday.

Some people also reported having the loud ten-second-long alarm blasted at them after turning their phones back on, despite turning them off to silence it in the first place.
