Any district that aims to achieve sustainable development and Carbon Net Zero needs to have central co-ordination. The Fitzrovia Partnership does just that. Working in partnership with LB Camden and a large number of wider stakeholders and businesses, it co-ordinates and seeks to deliver sustainable solutions.

The following training programme is free to member business employees. Courses are very popular with limited availability; there may be number limits per business. If you book and find that you cannot attend, please let us know training@fitzroviapartnership.com in advance so we can offer the place to someone else. Fire Marshall Training

 

Duration: 9am – 12pm
Location: Cartoon Museum, 63 Wells Street

Attendees will receive advice and training which covers the full roles and responsibilities of a designated fire marshal. They will also learn basic fire safety procedures in the workplace and how to ensure your organisation is compliant with the law. It is a legal requirement to ensure you have an adequate number of staff trained to handle the safe and successful evacuation in the case of a fire emergency.

• Escape, Drills & Evacuation Policy

• Importance of an Assembly Point & Roll Call

• Fire Marshal Responsibilities & Legal Duties

• Record Keeping

• Understanding fire extinguishers and how to use them

• Types of fire extinguishers and their uses and limitations

Emergency First Aid at Work Training

 

Duration: 9am – 4pm
Location: TBC

This full-day course is a great introduction to First Aid training. Learners will leave with the confidence to deal with emergency life-threatening situations in a competent way. Our instructors are experts from the Emergency Services who have ‘been there and done it for real’.

  • Causes & Care of the Unconscious Casualty
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Bleeding & Shock
  • Choking

  • Manage the Transportation of a Casualty
  • Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
  • Practical Demonstration & Use of an AED

Adult Mental Health Awareness Training

 

Duration: 9am – 12pm
Location: TBC

This accredited course introduces some common mental health challenges and discusses how to spot them. During this four-hour course, you will learn how to talk with someone who may be experiencing mental ill health and feel more confident speaking about mental health with colleagues, friends or family. The course will also equip you with some tools to look after your own mental health.

What You Will Learn

 

  • • What mental health is and how to challenge stigma

    • A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues

    • An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing

    • Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue
