International travel changes – 4 October
International travel changes – 4 October

New travel arrangements for the UK have come into effect on Monday 4 October. There will be a two-tier system of countries being either on the red list or green list. The government is more confident with this plan going forward due to the vaccine rollout success. More simplified testing will be in place too for the fully vaccinated, to help reduce costs and open up the travel industry.  There will be no amber list now and one post-arrival test for the fully vaccinated.

The non-fully vaccinated, will still have to take a pre-departure test, a day 2 and day 8 PCR test and self-isolate for 10 days upon their return from a non-red list country under the new two-tiered travel programme. Fully vaccinated residents from over 50 countries abroad can also travel into the UK like UK travellers.
