TfL extend e-scooter trail until November

Government is expected to confirm legislation to regulate e-scooters too, based on the transport bill

After a successful pilot, TfL and London councils are extending their e-scooter trial, testing if this is a viable form of transport to introduce to London as an alternative to cars. Data from trials so far suggests that e-scooters could be introduced safely in the capital. The trial includes 10 boroughs with hire scooters, although private e-scooters are still banned in public and on transport.

They will continue to look closely at data and insights to see how e-scooters can play a part in a more sustainable and healthier future for London.
