The Mayor of London’s scrappage scheme provides financial assistance to help eligible Londoners receiving Child Benefit, or certain low income or disability benefits, scrap non-compliant cars, motorcycles and wheelchair accessible vehicles to prepare for the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) from 29 August 2023.
From 21 August 2023, we will be removing the requirement to receive benefits. This means that anyone living in one of the 32 London boroughs or the City of London with an eligible vehicle will be able to apply to scrap a car or motorcycle.
