Two-way traffic works on Gower Street
Two-way traffic works on Gower Street

Gower Street will change to two-way traffic from Saturday 21 May

New information from West End Project: Gower Street will change to two-way traffic between Grafton Way and Euston Road from Saturday 21 May and will affect accessibility and routes around Fitzrovia for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

Preparation works begin Thursday 12 May

For minor repairs and new road markings, works will take place in advance on Gower Street and Tottenham Court Road from Thursday 12 May 2022.

From 21 May 2022, drivers will no longer be able to turn left onto Euston Road from Tottenham Court Road and should instead use Gower Street.

Please also note,

Road markings currently in progress:
– Changing road markings on the Euston Road slip road outside UCLH and on Gower Street between Hampstead Road and Grafton Road. All westbound bus stops directly outside UCLH will be closed with Buses diverted down Gower Street and Grafton Way.

– Changing road markings on Tottenham Court Road between Warren Street and Euston Road. There will be a narrowed northbound lane during these works but the road will remain open at all times.

Remember to look both ways when crossing the street at pedestrian crossings.

Please read the important advice from West End Project for pedestrians, drivers and cyclists and take extra care when using these roads as road layouts will change.
