E-bikes have been introduced to Santander Cycles and the pricing is changing.
If you have a slightly longer journey, an uphill trip or you just feel like a bit of extra support, Santander Cycles e-bikes make it even easier to get around London on two wheels.
The e-bikes will be available to customers who hire through the app or using membership keys. They will cost £3.30 for 30-minute single rides or at a discounted rate of £1 for the first 60 minutes of a journey for monthly and annual members.
Other prices are also changing from 12 September, whether you are a regular user or just hire from time to time, you can choose the option that works best for you:
- Single rides will cost £1.65 for up to 30 minutes. This will replace the existing charges for daily access
- A new monthly subscription option, which costs £20 per month for unlimited 60-minute rides throughout a 30-day period. So, if you’re planning to hire more often at some points during the year, this could offer a more flexible and cost-effective option
- Annual membership will increase to £120 for unlimited 60-minute rides throughout a 365-day period. This change in price reflects increased running costs and inflation since it was last changed in 2013 and will help secure continued investment in cycle hire in London
Extra charges apply for longer journeys on all Santander Cycles, including e-bikes.
