A new £50 note featuring scientist Alan Turing has gone into circulation in the UK, available in bank branches and ATMs. The new polymer notes will have the most up to date security features making it very difficult to counterfeit and marks the Bank of England’s final move away from paper money to polymer. Paper £20 and £50 notes can be still be used until 30 September 2022.
