Bedford Avenue starts on Monday 8 November, expected to be completed in a week.

The construction working hours are Mon-Fri 8am – 6pm and Sat 8am – 1pm

At a later date, work will start on Bayley Street‘s pocket park which is currently being planned and more information will come soon.

Alfred Place Park

A new road being laid on Alfred Place has been brought forward so there will be diversions for cars, but still pedestrian access. For a future project, electric cables need to be placed so changes have been made to accomodate this. Plans for the pavement works and road works can be found on West End Project site.

Road closures:

  • Alfred Place between Chenies Street and just south of the Law Courts will be closed from 30 September – 9 November.
  • Alfred Place between Store Street and just south of the Law Courts will be closed from 10 November – 24 December.
  • Chenies Street will be closed between Alfred Place and North Crescent from 3 January 2022 – 17 January 2022. Access to Alfred Place will be via Store Street only.
  • Store Street will be closed between Alfred Place and South Crescent from 22 January –2 February 2022. Access to Alfred Place will be via Chenies Street only.

Works are expected to complete by the end of 2021.
