Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia, is a festival to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Dylan Thomas, one of our greatest poets.
The wide ranging festival packed with events including, performances, film, exhibitions, music and of course poetry!
The Dylan Thomas Festival in Fitzrovia aims to promote the area as a place for the creative and avant-garde, cementing Fitzrovia’s reputation as one of London’s most bohemian centres.
We would be delighted if you could join us for the launch of the week-long festival to celebrate the centenary of the life and work of Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia. The festival is being championed by Griff Rhys Jones who will be speaking at the launch, and is being supported by several well-known names including Owen Teale, Sir Patrick Stewart, Tom Hollander and Rhys Ifans. The launch will be a chance to have a preview of the Dylan Thomas writing shed as well as the opportunity to catch up over a drink and make some new connections.

Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia is a wide ranging festival for one of our greatest poets in this, his centenary year. It is also a celebration of Fitzrovia, the culturally rich and varied district which played such an important part in his London life. The Fitzrovia Partnership is the principal sponsor for the festival, and has been busily helping behind the scenes to bring this exciting promotion to London’s most bohemian village.
BID Member Goodman Jones is also kindly supporting the launch event:
As part of our support for the Fitzrovia Business Improvement District, we are delighted to be involved with our friends and neighbours and the ‘Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia’ festival and wish all involved every success.
Based in Fitzroy Square, Goodman Jones advises businesses and individuals who are both on our doorstep, but also many with international interests where our central London location and network of connections and relationships bring additional value to our working relationships. We advise large owner managed businesses, international groups & small growing organisations and specialise in the property, media, professional services, leisure & hospitality and charity sectors.
We are accountants, but we put the people before the numbers and are delighted that our relationships with our clients span decades rather than years. A testament, we believe, to our ambition of providing a service that goes beyond the technical requirements, and that really helps to enhance the performance of a business or charity or simply to replace the strain with reassurance for individuals and their tax affairs.
We hope that you all enjoy the festival.
