Have your say on the Mayor’s draft London Health Inequalities Strategy

The Mayor’s draft London Health Inequalities Strategy – Better Health for all Londoners is open for consultation, running until 30 November 2017.

Despite having made a great deal of progress in recent years, health inequalities in London remain high. This reduces productivity and impacts on people’s quality of life.  The strategy sets out the Mayor’s ambitions and proposals that will help create a healthier and fairer city.

There are two specific main asks of businesses within the strategy (below):

  • The Mayor encourages employers to sign up to the London Living Wage through his Good Work Standard
  • The Mayor urges all employers, especially those within traditionally low paid sectors, to sign up to the London Healthy Workplace Charter so they can develop and maintain healthier workplaces.
  • To find out more go to www.london.gov.uk/healthyworkplace

Your feedback will help finalise this strategy. Share what you think, how you can help, what you are already doing, and what the Mayor could do to help you do even more.
