We are actively working towards an increased improvement in the way that our streets are managed.
We have regular meetings with the Camden Borough Monitoring Officer to discuss hot spots for waste and cleansing and to find resolutions to these issues. The services delivered by Camden are monitored against their baseline and where there appear to be shortfalls we work with the Borough Monitoring Officer to rectify these or raise them with the Council.

The chart below provides a breakdown of the tasking issues attended to by our Ambassadors in the period from August to November 2015.
Street Ambassador, Wojciech Wojteczek concentrates on street management, patrolling the streets, identifying and reporting hot spots or areas of concern. The monthly operations report outlines which streets and which issues are the most common within the area and provides intelligence to assist with Police and local authority tasking.
To date the team have reported approximately 2000 issues, with begging, rough sleepers and fly tipping remaining the most prevalent in the area. As we gather more detail and information we are able to identify areas where we can provide additionality to the services provided by our partners.
Street Ambassador, Theresa O’Connell is responsible for visiting members on a regular basis to raise awareness of developments in the area, to discuss crime trends and to report back members concerns. In the period between August to November she has visited over 760 businesses, developing strong relationships with members and our partners.
The Ambassadors tracked activity is mapped below, highlighting the Partnership areas being covered.
Our programme of weekly cleanses continues, with approximately 1800 sq meters cleansed in the month of November, and continues to receive praises from retailers operating in the area cleaned.
We have now cleansed a further three areas in and around Tottenham Court Road;
There is a substantial build-up of grime and dirt especially around street furniture and alfresco dining areas. To supplement this service we are also working with our contractors as to the best way to deal with areas which get dirty and grimy more regularly such as where food waste and rubbish sacks are often placed.
The street cleansing programme continues each Monday night. Our Ambassadors will visit premises operating adjacent to the area to be cleaned and will make sure that the managers are aware of the cleansing.
