Electric vehicle charging points – Store Street consultation

Camden are holding a consultation on a proposal for an extension of the existing charging station on Store Street, for an additional electric charging station to be installed, so two cars can charge at once outside 33 Store Street. There is an increasing demand for these charging points as these vehicles are expected to be more prevalent in future, and have various benefits to the driver and the environment, such as more access around London with no congestion charge or vehicle excise duty, heavily discounted residents permits, zero harmful emissions and lower noise pollution.

This is in line with Camden Councils Electric Vehicle Charge Point Action Plan to develop a network of charging points to meet the current demand and help to encourage take up of electric vehicles. Consultation is open until 22 July.
