National Insurance threshold increases from today 6 July

More people will get to keep more of their earnings before having to pay NI contributions. As of today, the threshold has risen by £3,000 from £9,880 to £12,570. The threshold for when NI is taken from salaries has risen, expecting to give average workers (earning under £35,000) around £330 back across the year.
