Fitzrovia is looking a little different this week, as we kick off our summer series, and welcome the arrival of three bold, colourful totems to the area.
As part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture (LFA) programme, the Find Fitzrovia totems have been installed across our neighbourhood to help guide visitors through Fitzrovia and discover its historic streets, cultural landmarks, and independent businesses.
Designed by Adalberto Lonardi, the totems are positioned at key gateways to the area, serving as welcoming landmarks at three distinct locations – Warren Street, Whitfield Gardens, and Great Titchfield Street.
The totems will be on view throughout Summer 2026. Find out more about each location below, and use our special guide to help map out your journey.
Warren Street
Located just outside Warren Street Underground Station, follow this totem to discover independent cafés on Warren Street and explore the Georgian architecture of Fitzroy Square.
Whitfield Gardens
Located north of Goodge Street Underground Station on Tottenham Court Road, this totem will lead you to the inner streets of Fitzrovia. Experience the culinary scene on Charlotte Street and relax in Alfred Place Gardens.
Great Titchfield Street
Located at the junction where Great Titchfield Street and Oxford Street meet, follow this totem to escape the crowds, see the historic Fitzrovia Chapel and browse the galleries on Mortimer Street.
