Supporting Sustainability Through Smarter Recycling
Bravissimo has partnered with First Mile through The Fitzrovia Partnership to improve recycling performance, reduce environmental impact and stay ahead of changing waste legislation.
By implementing separate waste streams for mixed recycling, food recycling and general waste, Bravissimo has achieved an average 58% recycling rate over the last 12 months.
The business is also fully compliant with the Government’s Simpler Recycling legislation, ensuring recyclable materials and food waste are collected separately and diverted from general waste.
Environmental Impact
Over the last year, First Mile collected:
- 158.86 tonnes of mixed recycling
- 75.05 tonnes of food waste
- 166.66 tonnes of general waste
- 400.57 tonnes of material in total
Through these recycling efforts, Bravissimo:
- Saved 234.72 tonnes of CO ₂ emissions
- Saved 1,298.31 trees through paper recycling
- Generated 89,439 kWh of energy from non -recyclable waste
Partnership Savings
As a Fitzrovia Partnership member, Bravissimo benefited from discounted waste and recycling services, saving:
- £2,914.00 ex VAT during 2025–2026
- A projected £2,735.50 ex VAT during 2026–2027
Bravissimo recycled over 233 tonnes of material through its mixed recycling and food recycling services in the last 12 months alone, helping to significantly reduce waste sent for disposal and supporting a more circular economy.
