Supporting Sustainability Through Smarter Recycling

The British Association of Dermatologists has partnered with First Mile through The Fitzrovia Partnership to maximise recycling and reduce waste across its operations.

By implementing five separate waste streams waste recycling and general waste last 12 months.

Environmental Impact

Over the last year, First Mile collected:

  • 1.95 tonnes of mixed recycling
  • 1.13 tonnes of food waste
  • 1 tonne of general waste
  • 4.08 tonnes of material in total

Through these recycling efforts, the organisation: 

  • Saved 2.60 tonnes of CO ₂ emissions

  • Saved 20.33 trees through paper recycling

  • Generated 550 kWh of energy from non -recyclable waste

Partnership Savings

As a Fitzrovia Partnership member, the British Association of Dermatologists benefited from discounted waste and recycling services, saving:

  • £1,703.50 ex VAT over the last 12 months
  • A projected £1,615.75 ex VAT over the next 12 months

Did You Know?

The 20.33 trees saved through recycling would fill a small woodland area and help absorb carbon from the atmosphere for years to come.
